Decorative finish over DITRA

Member Posts: 1 Joined: 10-07-2009	Has anyone tried to use a decorative finish over DITRA matting from SCHLUTER SYSTEMS (stampoverlay/microtopping/acid stain) etc.

Member Posts: 62 Joined: 08-10-2008	Several installers are swearing by it. I've not tried it yet as I'm still old school with the diamond lathe. I'm told it works well in the shower. As long as it stays put, I can't see a problem. gene ec-Indy

Member Posts: 24 Joined: --	We have two exterior jobs down over Ditra. One is an elevated home patio and one on a breezeway at an apt. complex. They have been down almost three years with some hairline cracking but no real problems. I own both projects so the risk was mine. Send me an email or a call on my cell and will walk you through the process and fill you in on cost. the Ditra alone was $2 ft.
