Nice addition to your discussion forum, look forward to reading input from others that are into this type of art form. Just went to a training class in Dec. on this type of overlay system. Class was very good and left me with wanting to learn more. Anyone know of other GOOD TRANING classes that you would recommend. Not sure if I should mention company name or not but on of the instructors has a Great wedsite. If you need more info. on wedsite let me know.

If you liked the training, you are not affiliated with the company and just want to pass on what you feel is good information, feel free to mention any company.

Here is a picture of a concrete slab made to look like a quarry stone. I used architechtural stone as a form liner, inserted 1 inch rebar pieces to mimic drill bit holes along the side. When placing the concrete, I broadcast different colours of powder along the sides in layers. After exposing the sides, I washed the colours to cause some streaking. The results were exactly what we had a picture of as a sample of quarry stone. Stamped the surface with a slate texture mat. Colours used were green, gold, black, and red. Homeowner was very pleased with end product. 2 hours to form and tie steel(two mats of rebar), 1 cubic meter of concrete, $3.00 worth of colour. Next day, 2 hours to strip and finish. Sealed with 2 coats of solvent-based acrylic....Homeowner paid me $2100.00. and was happy. Me too.
