I am finally waxin gthe counter tops and beeswax seems to be quite a bitch to use. Can I heat it and use it like that or will that do something negative to its intended purpose?

You'll have some resitance with it initially. With a lilltle elbow action and patience, it will buff out. Use clean cotton rags when applying and buffing and switch rags often. Just my expierence with it!
