I'm suprised that, at the time I am posting this, there have been over 66 views of my posting in the "For Sale" section of this forum and no one has had any questions or comments. It's not like i'm selling "Google" or "You Tube" here. I would think that a fully established, successfull, and profitable company in an area of the country where you can work year round would at least get a few questions. If you live in the north and are tired of the winters and cost of living then consider the Texas Riviera. The home my father is willing to include in the sale of his business would be worth over $350,000. in the northeast. In South Texas it's a $190,000. home and the business is generating the sames profit as business's in the north....did I mention no snow, 0 degree weather, and a beach 1/4 mile from the house. So how could there be no one with a question or even slightly inquisitive...?

Hi, Brian, I'm sorry about your personal and family situation and I hope for the best outcome for it.

If the business being offered is Donnelly and Sons, I know for a fact that you guys do top quality work, you guys actually were my providers for a while before I started getting the stuff from Butterfield directly.

You should consider hiring skilled people to manage the company and continue profiting from it, it won't be like before, but it will be better then cut it off.

I wish I'd be able to help(not by buying the company though), it is sad to see a succesfull company go down due to health related isssues; again, I hope for the best for you, your family and your business.

Good Luck!

Cr; Many thanks for the post! I cosidered a financial partner but that is easier said the done. It is just like turning over one of your children to a stranger. I am in a tough situation and making the wrong decision with a managing partner even if they have money invested and personal guarentee suplliers but our name and reputation could be ruined in a matter of months. But I am open to all suggestions and/or offers. Thanks again

Den

selling a bix is a specialty to brokers,,, competitors're rarely good prospects as they're figuring they'll ' get their share ' when yours closes,,, there are sites that specialize in biz sales & people intown who do the same - well !

redi-mix co's seem to be the only 1's i've seen approach ea other when current owners had no inclination to sell,,, restrictive sources help'd amortize the higher cost of sale.

closed my fathers yrs ago & remember it well - things change.

best [the original] yic-yac
