Rain right after sealing stamped patio

Member Posts: 16 Joined: 04-27-2007	I just finished a patio for a friend... went and washed it off. I decided to go ahead a seal it thinking the sealer would dry before it rained. Anyway, it rained.....about 20 minutes after I sealed. He called me and said it was milky white. What should I expect when I go look at it. Will the water eventually escape out of the sealer, or will I have to strip it and re-seal. If I do have to strip it and I use zylene, will it take off any release with it? Please help....

Member Posts: 192 Joined: --	Solvent sealers float. Thats what is causing the "whiteness" You will have to scrape, cuss, and apply zylene to attempt to level out what wont come off. Another seal coat and be done with it. gene...been there

Member Posts: 18 Joined: 02-13-2007	IF IT IS JUST WHITE AND MILKY AND NOT GOOPY GET SOME REACTIVATOR. I'M NOT SURE OF MANUFACTURER BUT I GET IT FROM ROB BURNS ANT DESIGN CRETE IN N.Y.. ANYWAY YOU SPRAY IT ON AND IT RE EMULSIFIES THE SEALER AND LETS THE WATER ESCAPE. SOMETIMES XZYLENE WORKS BUT THE REACTIVATOR IS A BLEND OF SOLVENTS WITH DIFFERENT FLASH POINTS SO IT KEEPS EVERYTHING "OPEN" LONGER
