There both good systems. Consider shipping costs, ease of use and tech support. gene

Something you should really look into when looking for a company to do business with asides location and price, is honesty, call both companies, listen to their pitch and do not be persuaded by wild claims (making products for others, to have invented overlays, etc).

Ask others, look at the company history and make an educated decision based in fact, NOT FICTION.

What is YOUR level of experience as an installer or user of such products? If you are fairly new to the trade, develop your skills and techniques in applying products first before developing loyalties to certain systems. Become familiar with the properties of a product whose supplier is close to where you live and work. Experience is what will lead you to try out others and see what "theirs" can do. Relying on other's testimonials sometimes is not beneficial considering where you are at in the skills department. I've done things with products, others said couldn't be done with them because of experimenting and trial and error.

One of the big contributors to whether one system seems to outlast another is HOW it is installed and what conditions it is subject to. So it is kind if unfair to ask which one is better.

You will find a difference in quality though when it comes to a decorative concrete manufacturer and your local hardware supply store.

I agree with creter and Dr. "J". Start out with a company and get your feet wet. Do the walk and see what you like. There are differences in application techniques from system to system but those can be picked up fairly quickly. There are BS'ers out there that will promise the world.

Technical support when you are in a pinch goes a long way, late in the evening, on weekends..... ?

Product availability, shipping costs, up to date training with free refresher courses ?

Advanced training on specialty applications, counter tops, vertical wall, unique applications?

Honest, straight forward information from a veteran installer?

Yes, do your homework, ask plenty of questions. Go with someone you feel comfortable with and learn from them. Then go out and see what's out there....
