We did a job of 900sq feet on an interior of a home. The owners had tried to do themselves with Behr Stain. We stripped the paint that they put on, and applied an overlay on top after cleaning it. We applied acid stain everything came out very nice except for one section near the entrance of the home, the overlay did not bond. What can be done to repair this?

If all you did was strip the paint and add overlay, don't be suprised if the entire floor flakes up after some use. Fix- take your hammer and smack the surface starting at the door and working your way back untill it stops falling apart. When and if you get to that point, saw cut a straight line to incorporate into a pattern. Mechanically prep the floor. i.e. grind, blast, scarify. Start over

Make absolutely sure that you prime the floor once it has been profiled as well. Besides improper profiling, this would be the only other reason it is laminating.
