 acid stain before or after polish?

hey everyone I just poured my first counter, and wanted to get started on the polishing proc. but wanted to acid stain the counter black, but didnt know if it was better to wait till the end (3000grit)

if you stain early you will remove some color .how high of pad number do you polish to ?i only polish to 200 for the vseal i use.so i will stain it at the end of polishing.but if you go higher i would stain at 200 then finish polishing to your final grit.i think higher than 200 doesnt remove much color anymore.i have stained all the way up to 800 grit though

since this is my first i wanted to just wait and see as far as how high of a grit i wanted to go with.

personally i don't see much difference after 200 grit.the sealer might have pealing issues after 200 also.

if you are going to seal the surface, than just hand sand with 220 grit sand paper then stain and seal

I just did the 200 grit today, should i fill in the air bubbles know or after staining?

fill in all of your holes first, then sand them smooth and stain
