I recently got the wood plank stamps and I 'm wondering on what color and release color to use. I made a sample with Scofield color Santa Fe Clay as integral color with a black powder release. I have seen better color combos. I would like to hear your opinion. Thanks.

We just did one with Scofiled Beige Cream and a Pecan Tan release. Don't have a pic yet, but it looked like an old plank arched bridge - realistic colors.

Looks good as is. I sometimes add a few highlights with a charcoal stain to give a more rustic look now and then.

BTW, where are the stamps from? They do not look like the normal faux type plank commonly on the market.

I like the darker colors for the wood planks like you guys posted, but here is a pic using light colors:

stamp overlay with a light tan integral color and tinted liquid rel. (cant remember which color I used, job was done about 6 years ago)

Good choice, they looked awfully familiar. The Weatherwood does well for us. We're adding a simple skin touch-up to the set soon, no edges at all, just grain. It makes it easy to extend planks with little work. Shoot me a pm and I'll get you one.
