Member Posts: 733 Joined: 05-20-2007	Our finish coat on micro-toppings used to be straight portland cement and polymer. As a matter of fact I am doing an overlay right now using only portland cement as the finish coat. I know Ill hear it from everyone that its not a good idea, but this was the way we did them back before anyone else was doing this type of work and you couldnt buy all these different mixes. I also have never had any problems with it either. We got the deepest colors when we used to do it like that. I like how you flood the surface with multiple colors. I do the same for more depth and flowing colors on some projects. I have never bought into "scrub the stain in until its gone" method Your work looks fantastic!
