repair method for Joints (edge of the slab )

Member Posts: 24 Joined: 05-07-2008	Any one had experienced fixing those ruined joints (edge of the slab) in heavy duty factories My question is any alternative to epoxy mortars (we do repair a lot of them and we are happy with epoxy mortars, but for aesthetic look especially if you are polishing you know!.we are looking for matching the existing concrete. Any concrete bag or a miracle out there please advice TX to all of you Isa Mexico

Member Posts: 1135 Joined: --	you're probably already doing it correctly,,, sawcut patch - prep - insert ( we used sill-seal ) blockout for maintaining jnt integrity - pour patch - remove blockout - seal jnt. you can either use epoxy mortar or hi-compressive strength cementitious mtls ( sika - l&m - sonneborn - master bldrs - dayton - etc ). best [the original] its-slow-labor-intensive-work-but-pays-well yic-yac

Member Posts: 24 Joined: 05-07-2008	Thank you John for the input, Yes we don’t have problems with joints repair with Epoxy mortars, we are doing that for years.We have good skilled employees, all our works we’ve completed are standing hard-wheel traffic for years, the Problem is the aesthetic, Let me explain it this way. Her we are discussion polishing or visual thing, imagine a polished floor with that gummy, tacky look . I visited USA were it was nice and great polished floors the hk is that patterns of repair look really bad maybe because women nature is to be peaky, any way we need a fast setting concrete witch we could polish color and matching exiting floor Once again TX John.
