Getting paid is never a sure thing even with an iron clad contract. Just be sure to limit all liability from the outcome. Make sure your customer reads the disclaimer from the stain manufacturer, and signs something saying they have done so and understand. We recently got stiffed on a job here in Memphis. They owe me $100 000.00. That was with a three page long contract. Now we must sue them. E-mail me if you would like to discuss this further.
