Member Posts: 1 Joined: --	I have a homeowner that wants a variagated look such as an acid stain around her "broom finished" concrete pool deck. Initailly, she just wanted to waterproof the concrete, however after lightly etching the surface, and the tannin stains did not come out she would like to step it up to a stain and try to hide the leave stains, and add to the appearance of the variagation of the concrete. My concern is that I have already lightly etched this. Any advice would be apprectiated.

Most exterior concrete is a pretty crappy mix and needs a little etching. Try a small area to see what happens. If you etched at 10:1 or 20:1, no worries. If you etched at 5:1, it will still probably take OK. Kelley
