Student Research Symposium

The Student Research Symposium is hosted by the Department of Biological Sciences and the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry is an excellent opportunity for Towson University students (both graduate and undergraduate) to showcase their research and ideas in a public forum.  The event will be held in the Science Complex.  Attendance at the poster session is not required to submit and present a poster but is highly encouraged.  All TU students are eligible to present their work by registering.

2025 Highlights:

  • New for 2025: All TU students may participate
  • Date/Time: Thursday, December 4th, 2025 (12:00pm-4:00pm)
  • Location: Science Complex, 2nd & 3rd floor 
  • Attendance at the poster session is not required to submit and present a poster
  • Awards for best Biological Sciences presentations
  • You MUST submit your poster for printing by the end of day on Sunday, November 30th . Details and registration can be found .

Register by November 19th, 2025 at 11:59pm.

Judging

If you wish to have your poster judged you can indicate that on the registration form, then you MUST upload A PDF version of your poster by 5pm on Wednesday December 3rd 2025 at the link below. There will be two categories, one for undergraduate and one for graduate students. See the judging rubric for details about the judging criteria. 

In order for you to have your poster judged, you will have needed to:

1. Upload A PDF Version of your poster by 5pm on Wednesday,  December 3rd 2025.
2. The poster file name should be in the following format:  
      poster#_StudentLastName_MentorLastName

     

Winners will be announced before the conclusion of the semester and in TU Today. Honorable mentions may also be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
