Survey Strategy

TU’s Survey Strategy Committee is charged with recommending survey policy and coordinating large-scale university surveys. We also provide technical assistance to survey providers.

National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) (Freshmen and Seniors)

Results are presented for 2014, 2017, 2020, 2023. TU plans to next administer the NSSE during Spring 2026.

NSSE annually collects information at hundreds of four-year colleges and universities about first-year and senior students' participation in programs and activities that institutions provide for their learning and personal development. The results provide an estimation of how undergraduates spend their time and what they gain from attending college. Towson University has participated in this survey every two to three years.
